EVENTS

April 18, I'll be giving writing tips to teenagers at the Palo Alto Library (Mitchell Park Library) in a workshop requested by teenagers.

April 18, 1:00-4:00 at Koret Auditorium of the San Francisco Main Library, I'll be signing my book Zero Is the Leaves on the Tree. It is a nominee for the Northern California Book Awards.

I'm looking forward to attending parties at the Firehouse Collective, two art studios/galleries in Berkeley that my sculptor son, Tom Franco, helped organize.

In the movie MILK, which was filmed in San Francisco, my son James has a role, and my son Dave has a small part as well, as the shirtless phone-tree caller. My husband is the tall guy on the right in the candlelight march. I was in the marches, but I'm off screen. Oh, well. It was fun.
